“Every part has a story to tell. But in the end it is always the same story: Only by listening to our customers are we able to build the right tool and produce millions of parts. And this we do very well.”

Transporting paper within a copier, that’s what they should do. And they should do it quietly. Should, but they didn’t, at least not always. “It’s driving me mad”, revealed the engineer, “it seems to be impossible to control it”
NGF just loves such a remark. Solving an unsolvable problem that’s what we like to do. It always starts with careful listening. What’s the problem, what has been tried etc. The solution seemed simple. Create a perfect bearing. However achieving this in mass production at low costs was not so simple. Only because our specialists have a very high understanding of the principles of stamping we were able to achieve the solution and now millions of wheels are transporting paper without any squeak.
Having solved the squeaking the next question was to improve the fixation off the foam. The flanges were small to allow assembling and therefore to small for fixation. Dividing the axes was considered but engineers were afraid they would part and get stuck within the bracket.
A few weeks later we send them a divided axis with a remark stating: “Do not assemble because disassembling is impossible”. Since then NGF has delivered millions of wheels.
