That is why the customer has developed a new hoist system with an extra locking mechanism. The drawings were distributed internationally for quotations. One of NGF reactions was: ‘This cup with this large flange around it, it will require a major technical effort and therefore major costs. We think we might have another solution if we know all the functional details.’

The customer was pleased: a supplier who asks critical questions and who really gets involved in the product. The revised design does not take more than a few weeks. It is easier to produce, requires only half the amount of material and is at least as strong. At the same time the extra opening is an unexpected advantage to prevent dirt accumulation. Since then NGF produces this lower bracket, keeps track of the stock and delivers just in time.
