The request was received by mail. “The part exists but it’s not working properly”. This was the comment. “Can NGF find a better solution?” Such a question triggers one action: visit the customer.
“This must be the wrong place. It’s such a small and high precision part and here they are working with steel plates of two inches thickness building huge seagoing sand dredgers”. But I was in the right place. The part is the sealing within there rotating couplings. The difficulty was that it needs to be up to 15 feet long and it should be exactly similar over the whole length.
Again we have found the solution and right now dozens of dredgers are sucking millions tons of sand and sludge all over the world, using our sealings.
